Equal access to education that is blind to gender and social disadvantage has been identified as a priority for governments globally.<\/p>\n<h5>Global agreement<\/h5>\n<p>In 2015, 193 countries unanimously accepted Sustainable Development Goal 4:<\/p>\n<p><em>To bring quality, equitable, inclusive education and lifelong\u00a0<\/em><em>learning opportunities to their citizens.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>But declaring goals is just the first step in any action plan. What&#8217;s needed now is good policy and funding to ensure the good outcomes are achieved in a timely way.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><h2 class=\"tabtitle\">Forum program<\/h2>\n<div Australia (ALA), and supported by\u00a0EU Centre at RMIT University\u00a0will explore the role of the Sustainable Development Goals and their implications for Australia..<\/p>\n<p>Our forum will also explore:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Why the SDGs are important<\/li>\n<li>What the SDGs have to do with education and training, inclusivity, gender and economic wellbeing<\/li>\n<li>The potential impact of the SDGs on adult learning and training for decent work<\/li>\n<li>The issues for women and girls<\/li>\n<li>The key SDGs for education, gender and work<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Download the <a
